The Frantoino BIO 50 is part of the Oliomio Series of Olive Oil Mills (aka Olive Oil Plants) by MORI-TEM. These machines a very unique, compact, and have monoblock design; developed for the small producers of olive oil to be less labor intensive than using a traditional press for extraction. Simply pour clean olives into the receiving hopper where a where a motor driven screw feeds them to the crusher which grinds the olives into paste.
The crushed olives, now paste, drops into the Malaxer (mixer) below where a specially designed helical agitator prepares the paste for extraction of oil. The paste is then sent to the 2-stage decanter where the oil is separated from the paste. Extra Virgin Olive Oil pours from one outlet for collection, and the waste, which consists of pomace and water, (aka Husk), exits the machine from an outlet at the back of the machine.
